Hubungan Pengetahuan dan Sikap Remaja dengan Perilaku Pencegahan HIV-AIDS di SMK Analis Mandala Bhakti Palopo

Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is the virus that can cause the AIDS. Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is a series of symptoms due to the decreased of the immune system caused by the HIV. Objective to identify the relationship between the knowledge and attitude of adolescents and the behavioral prevention of HIV-AIDS at SMK Analis Mandala Bhakti Palopo in 2020. Method this study used the analytical survey method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this research was all students of SMK Analis Mandala Bhakti Palopo consisted of Chemical Analyst student, Health Analyst student, Nursing students, and Pharmacy students. The sampling was done by purposive sampling, selecting 51 respondents. Data collection was conducted by sending questionnaires through the Whatsapp messages/google form. The obtained data processed and analyzed by using the computerized program namely the SPSS for windows version. Result The univariate analysis identified the frequency distribution; the bivariate analysis showed the relationship of knowledge and the behavior of HIV-AIDS prevention (p= .8); There is a relationship of the attitude and the behavioral prevention of HIV-AIDS (p= .36). Conclusion There is a relationship of knowledge and the behavior of HIV-AIDS prevention  and there is a relationship of the attitude and the behavioral prevention of HIV-AIDS at SMK Analis Mandala Bhakti Palopo in 2020.
